Famous Schilder Technique
“Professor Schilder is the most influential endodontist in the world.” He was president of the Department of Endodontics at Boston University from 1963 to 2003. In our clinic, we apply his techniques on a daily basis. We use Dentsply hand files and rotary instruments. The Protaper Universal instrument range is designed after the theories and concepts of Professor Schilder. A technological development of Protaper is the Proglider and Protaper Next. The canals can be filled in different ways. The Schilder Technique is often applied, a vertical condensation of warm gutta percha. In some cases we use other filling techniques.
